Call is legitimate (not spam) whether they're trying to sell you investments or trying to hire you to sell investments. They regularly call me whenever I make even minor updates on my online resumes, like they must have a notifier that tells them whenever any resume that has "accounting" or "finance" listed gets any kind of minor change, they call that person and try to get them to join their sales team. The job is a real one, if you want to be the person on the other end cold calling people to buy investments, but I have no idea of the details. I've never been interested, I'm an accountant, not a salesperson.
I've received several calls from Investors Group stating they found my resume on Workopolis. When I told them I'm not interested, the calls would stop for several months. Then the cycle would start up again.
Hi, I work at Investors Group and wanted to respond to your post. The reason you were contacted was because you posted your resume online as someone looking for a job. If you were contacted again several months later it's because you must have updated your resume. Any time you update your resume, it will move up on the website and it will appear as a new resume on job sites.
