A woman who claimed to be calling from Cedar Springs (the water company). I received a call from them a couple of weeks ago, offering us a free trial of water delivery, so I asked this woman right away if she was trying to give me free water. She said yes. I said "No thank you, you've called me before" and she hung up on me mid-sentence. Likely a scammer.
Got the call today from 1-416-555-0134 today. My call display showed it was a long distance call, but 416 is my local exchange. They didn't leave a message, so I have no idea what's going on. Since tom did answer, I'm sure his post explains all.
