This is the second time I got a text from a so-called BMO Alert. This time it said "verification pending." Previously, it was about fraudulent activity detected on my account. LOL... I don't have any BMO accounts. Scammers from this number! The other one was a Quebec area code. Scammers there, too. Please note: BANKS DO NOT SEND TEXTS!
Received a text saying that I had an online purchase pending and to click the link and sign in to my account. Luckily, I don't do online banking/shopping. I reported this immediately to BMO who told me that they've received multiple calls about these scam texts. Apparently, the perpetrators use a different number every time, so be careful and don't click links in texts.
