Got a call during supper. An recorded message was cut short within seconds and some «live» guy started rambling on about an association of cops, teachers and parents protecting kids from predators (!). He wasn't reading from a prompt screen, he was hesitating a lot, a true novice telemarketer (or wannabe!!!). Anyways, then he said «100$ for 4 kids or 75$ for 3» (or something like that, the money part got my attention). I stop him (my last word was «hello?») and asked point blank if he was expecting money from me; he said yes. I told him politely he wouldn't get a cent from me, he apologized and hung up. It was an interesting experience!!
I just recieved a call from this phone number. Why is a Toronto number calling someone in Ottawa? Call didn't last long, though. The caller said the call was being recorded but he never identified himself or his organization. Started talking about a scheme where an unidentified group of police, teachers, parents and grandparents would educate children to avoid sexual predators. Then the call ended.
I got a call from this number at 7pm on Jul 28,09.
after I said hello for 3 times, the phone hung up. I thought they heard my childiest voice and did not want to waste time.
