A work from home scam, an abrasive guy with a very thick accent called about the job application he said I submitted. Yeah right!!!

I received a call on Boxing Day (when we are all tight for money) about a job with a supposedly Chinese online sales and export company as a payment processor. The deal is, I deposit payments for them and then wire them the money minus a commission for myself - totally a SCAM! Read about this fraudulent scheme here

Always calls me but no one on the other side, then hangs up after a few seconds. When calling back they are unable to receive the call.

Someone called me today for an interview which was a total scam. I have been searching for a new job since moving back from Alberta. I was contacted about the resume I posted online and was given a phone interview this afternoon.  It was a 1 hour interview and a total waste of time. Towards the end it became apparent that it was a work at home scam. He stated that their company was going to send me back the money by direct deposit after I purchase all the software and equipment from them. He said it is necessary for the work-at-home position to use their computer equipment and software. I luckily never gave him my banking info since I was leery of it from the start. He stated that someone would be contacting me on Monday to start the online training process. I am very glad that I never paid out any money, never agreed to anything, never gave them my SIN or did not give any financial information about me.
