Caller ID said 'NOT IN USE'. I almost laughed. Someone chose that one. So, since it is not in use, I picked up, but said nothing, and was responded to in the same way. After about 20 seconds I just hung up.
Just got a call from this very same number. I'm on the DO NOT CALL list as well and have been for years. I have Cellular One service in Illinois. I don't answer calls that are not on my phone list. No message was left either.
I called a wrong number by mistake and got a message saying that the person I'm calling will be notified that I called.... So what is that all about? seems like an awesome way to not have the phone ring all the time, I bet its one of them units that have a flashing light telling you a certain phone number called, because I don't have my number blocked, I want to get one of them, I would think that you are able to program the numbers that call you to ring your phone, this way your doctor is not getting that message... Has anyone heard of this?
Numbers 4178002001-4178002599 are used for all types of telephone scams. Get a Digitone call blocker and block the area code. The FCC is worthless about doing anything. I have it in writing from them!!!
