Got a call from this number - didn't leave a message, but I know from other reports on this site that it is a telemarketer number - I am on the National Do Not Call Registry.
They claimed being representatives of CUNY, yes!! CUNY College from NYC. I knew they're scam since I'm being receiving several calls from these kinds of companies since I complained against another scam company called Elite Excursions. Somehow my info has been shared now among these kind of companies, the worst thing is that once they got me :( It was so clever since they showed up in the middle of the conversation, at the beginning the call was legitimate and later they showed up in the middle of the call, gathered my personal info, and hang up, the call was for Direct Loan.
Conclusion: They can claim to be from any company in order to get your info, therefore don't share your info by phone when you're not sure of who is making that call

12/9/2008 - 6:39am - another call. A female this time asking for Laura about college. I asked that she remove us from her list. She replied "a number of companies have this number and you can get more calls." She did say she'll remove our number.
