They called and said they were a local radio station, and in order for me to win 'prizes" from a contest I needed to give them my name and address. I told them that I would not give out my address, and I would go on there website to verify this information. I feel bad for the older people who think they will win something and give out info to these horrible people!!
The guy said my account was handed over to him by AT&T. He was trying to save me money on my busniess account. I told him he was the 3rd call today, from a THIRD number and if I wanted to change anything on my account, I would call AT&T myself. His reply was "go ahead, you will have a 30 minute hold time and reach someone in India" I told him that was fine because I am bi-lingual and get paid by the hour...then he hung up on ME lol
Got a call this morning at 9:22 am EST from someone called Brandon or Bradley saying he was "in the area (NC, near to Charlotte) and wanted to come by to talk about free health insurance quotes". He talked so fast I had to ask him to repeat himself, I thought he had said "free health insurance". I wasn't even sure he had said "Health" insurance. I told him I didn't need any, I had some already. Then he asked, "would you mind telling me what type you have". I was taken off guard and told him our carrier, which I immediately realized was foolish. He then said thanks and hung up.
I called the number on his caller id, 417-886-0006, and the following message plays: "Thank you for calling Sunrise Service Associates, an Authorized AT&T solutions provider as well as a Spark Energy gas Solutions provider. I’m sorry we’re not available to take your call right now. Thank you." The "phone lady" then informs us that "This mailbox is full – pls. try again later."
