My parents have been receiving harassing phone calls from this number. When they answer and ask them not to call again they ignore it. Last Friday they called 6 times. On Sunday they called 5 times. My brother answered one day and told them again not to call. They called back within half an hour. My mother answered today and was told he was calling because they were rude to him.
Just received a call from this same number also (419)474-9385. Asked to verify information like address to donate monies to the National Children's Registry, and thanking me from my former contributions and whether I would agree to my prior donation. I said yes, he thanked me again and hung up. Nice guy, but could tell this was not the Sherrif's department as identified. I called this number back, and it was just a busy signal. Very disturbing.
They called twice today and always ask for my wife. The second time I told them who I was and asked him if he knew there were hundreds of folks looking for them and that the word is they are a scam. He put his supervisor on who explained they are called Safety Services LLC and they gather donations for police organizations. He explained they are non-profit so the donotcall list doesn't apply and he offered to remove my name from the list. We'll see if they call again. They are based in Toledo Ohio but he refused to give an address (seems a little fishy if they are supposedly reputable).
