I got the same call from the same number. It comes up on my caller ID as
"Safety Awareness". I didn't answer of course, and they left some message that I couldn't understand. This is the second time that they have called me.
A woman asked if I was Mrs. Bryant - and I said no - and that they had already called yesterday. Someone DID call here yesterday and asked if I was Mrs. Bryant. She said she was calling from the Maryland Sheriff's Association. I said, no thank you - and before I hung up the phone - said PLEASE do NOT call this number again.
Yeah, that will be the day.
They call once, they call twice - they just keep on freakin' calling.
What the hell is the matter with these people - can't they find decent jobs? Do they have to bother us over and over and over again - LEAVE ME ALONE.
I am not bothering anybody - can these telemarketers - do the same for me - and leave me the hell alone.
This number is based out of Ohio, I also a couple of weeks ago got a call from POLICE PROTECTION the man knew my name and wanted to know if I was going to donate again, I had donated to Maryland State Police before.
This number has been calling for over two weeks now. I have yet to get a person on the line. I know MD State Trooper and have objected in the past to the use of these type of phone solicitations by this organizations Troopers Association. I too am on the do not call list and receive 2 - 3 calls a day. I always tell people to let the solicitor know that they only give locally and in person. I can't say it is not a legitamate fund raising call from a company paid to solicite for several different non-profit organizations, but I would never tell someone to give a donation to this type of fund raiser .
These people don't quit. So I checked on this new number and found a lot of complaints on line. So people be careful.
The man asked for my roommate, by name, and who no longer lives here. I didn't ask why he was calling for he hung up. I do know the 419 area code is Ohio.
