OMG at some of these comments!!! You DO realize that TennCare IS Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, right?! Anyway, TennCare is just the name of the BCBS plan that you are on. You don't have to be financially disadvantaged for an insurance company to call you with an automated message reminding you to stay current on your check-ups!
It's not a finance department or bill collector!!!
Calm down & hit ignore! Or better yet, send them an email and ask them to take you off their calling list. FYI, the DNC list doesn't apply if you agreed to receive calls (probably from checking a box or "initialing here" without reading the entire statement) from a company whom obviously provides health services to you.
BCBSTennessee I'm a member. They randomly call a few times a year with "health tips". No reason to get your panties in a bunch. It's not collections, doesn't mean you're delinquent with anything, doesn't mean you're on welfare. Y'all really need to chill out. It's an automated call, and they typically leave a VM if there's no answer.
If you provided them with your phone number, they can call you. If they are calling you out of the blue, so to speak, and you are on the National Do Not Call List, it is against the law. If you gave them your number, you tacitly gave them permission to use it to call you.
They left a voicemail. It was an automated health message from Blue Care which in my healthcare through the Tenncare program. It was just talking about the overuse of antibiotics in kids and how it can affect their immune system. You can call their customer service to stop these annoying common sense messages.
