I went to this show. There was no product called Pro-Health (that is a toothpaste made by Crest). And actually we bought the cookware they were demonstrating. We got a 3 day 2 night hotel stay for going and a 5 day Carnival cruise for the purchase. Why did we buy? Well, we have been to a few of these before. Saw other brands for much, much higher prices made of same materials. Huge price difference. If you get a call from these folks, I would recommend going. The products are great and the people were nice. This too is different from the other shows we attended.
I got the call yesterday from Tiffany from Pro-Health Cookware on behalf of Bridal Showcase in which I was one of 10 people drawn from 200 to "win" 2 tickets to the Great Bridal Expo which in her words is "the largest in your area," a 3 day/2 night stay at one of 23 four star resorts spanding from the US to Mexica to Hawai that never expires, and 50% off Pro-Health Cookware if I choose to buy it. Was to that it is 100% obligation free, I just need to sit through a 90 minute presentation with my fiance at the Holiday Inn Express off Pleasant Hill in Duluth, GA.
Now, she was very pleasant. More giddy that I "won" than I was. Excited really. Apparently pregnant with twins. And swore up and down that the hotel stay is covered 100%, we only pay to get there. So...Donna, the presentor, should be calling me today since the presentation is tomorrow.
Okay, fair enough. She did not want my bank account number. She did not want my SS #, credit card, check, anything like that. In fact, they will never ask for an ID even. So, not a scam. Most certainly a sales pitch though. And from research on the net, a pricey one. That being said, we need to visit the soon to be in-laws any ways and they are 5 minutes from the location, and hey, a free stay is a free stay and I say no to everything when it comes to money, so sure, we will go probably. They won't get a dime out of me, and I didn't win anything, it is just a presentation, and I don't recall ever giving them my info, but she did mention TheKnot.com, but it can't hurt. They already have my name and number, I won't give them anything else, but I can sit through what isn't a time share but at the same time is :)
Oh, and they say they don't have a web site because they only promote through the bridal shows. Now, I can't seem to find anything backing that up, but I can say, having gone to Reptile Exhibits in the past, that this can be true for some vendors.
I got that call a couple days ago and I called back. My fiance and I are going tonight to the showcase. Have any of ya'll gone there yet? A lot of things I have read are from people who either never called back or didnt go.
I got the same call from "Tiffany." She left a message with her direct phone number, and a claim number. The message stated that there were no time shares or obligations blah blah blah, but to call her back as soon as possible today. I called the number she left, and the man who answered made it clear it was the wrong numbe! I don't think I ever entered in anything, but I do have an account on theknot.com. She sounded very giddy about it all (as mentioned previously in another post), but that number didn't work and I'm not going to try to chase it down.
