my husband and I get these call everyday about 3:00 . They do not leave
any message or names. I never answer the phone because we do not
recognize the number. These calls are so annoying. My husband is ill so
those calls wake him. I am tired of racing to see who it is so won't wake
him. Please help me stop these annoying calls.
"John" called here twice. After demanding the manager and calling back twice, they've taken this number out of service. And I reported them to the local BBB. They've been scamming through the Southeast and Midwest. I also recommend informing anyone who might be a target, particularly older family members on their own. Sadly, they'll probably just continue with another number.
As long as these scammers did not leave you a message, I'll let you know who they are. They are the medic alert for seniors scammers, and an article in the current AARP Bulletin warns of, and explains the scam--it is well worth the reading!
Seems old John changes phone numbers. Yes, it's the medic alert scam guy just moving around. I think he was in Kingston, Tennessee, last time. Even worse, it's a recording, so if you scream at him, he can't hear you. Not fair, is it?
Most likely "John" has been cloned. That's how "he" can make "his" annoying calls from all over the country simultaneously. You're correct, we can yell at "John" until we're hoarse and it will do no good, but possibly we could get some satisfaction in making some dartboards or gun range targets with "his" supposed image on them! On my target "he" will be portrayed as a bearded man, with beady eyes and horns protruding from the top of his cranium, and carrying a pitchfork.
