They called my workplace and was asking for me. Manager called me and told me about it, giving me a phone number and case number. After I found this website, I caught on that it was a scam. Never called them back.
They called and said they were from Jones & Associates and were trying to sue for a debt from 2006. Threatened wage garnishment, etc. We had never heard about or from them before but they wanted to know when we'd be home so they could serve us papers. I've googled both the number and the name and can't find much of anything.

Received a vmail from someone who was leaving a message for my brother in law, threatening lawsuit and stated they have had 3 failed deliveries of legal paperwork, and gave a case number with this number as the firm's number to call. Caller ID was Unknown. My brother in law would have never listed my cell number as a point of contact, so the idiots that are calling are obviously rookies at scamming people. Hopefully no one falls for this by giving personal information!
Received an unknown call stated that the law firm was trying to contact me to serve papers. Told me i had 24 hrs. to contact the law firm of Jones & Associates @ 424-294-8183. I didn't call them thanks to this page. Nothing came up when i Google the firm. Also stated it was a lawsuit.
