Missed call, but voicemail left. Nothing specific, just 'an open case file' and to call the department number. I called the number back to give them my 2-cents and it just kept ringing. Looking up the number, other resources state its an IRS scam. As per IRS regulation, they will NEVER contact by phone unless previously agreed upon i.e. in the case of leaving your number for a call-back if their call queue is overloaded) and they ALWAYS send correspondence via postal mail.
