I didn't look, daughter just handed me the phone after she told me the call was from Beverly Hills. I only answered because we have family from the area.
All I got was dead air and a robo sounding voice saying "good bye."
I've had a number of calls from 1-424-354-5100 with caller ID reading California. Someone asking for my spouse and then asking if anyone has diabetes in the household. Experienced hang ups, silence, and only one live caller whom I asked to remove my phone number which didn't happen. Call back to number states number not working. Oddly enough, things changed today.. rather ironic.
I read the post by Very Annoyed and googled NDA. Located working phone number 1-877-506-9633 and made contact with a live person. Could tell there were other phone conversations in the back ground. Asked for supervisor to discuss excessive, annoying calls, indicating I did not need their services. Told supervisor(s) were in a meeting, continued discussion. Made clear what I did need was my phone number not to be contacted any further or I would happily contact the phone company in California and in my state. I would even make contact to the local television stations if in fact they are telemarketing from 1-424-354-5100 out to my home landline. Was asked by rep if I could call back in 1 hour.
About two hours later, I accidentally hit redial on my phone for the 424 area code no that stated wasn't a working number. Lo and behold the number now had a recording identifying the number as NDA and allowed the option to leave info for a call back or the option to have your phone number removed from the calling list. It did request that the number you wish to be removed be keyed in on the keypad. I was pleased to use my keypad. Will have to see if this ends the calls since the donotcall.gov list is obviously not being utilized to any degree by this business. Thanks Very Annoyed for your post!
Have been received many calls from this number: 424-354-5100. Of course were not answered. I wonder....Should the state of Texas be aware of this number too?
