the area code is from Culver City, California.
I got a call last night also, i answered and they hung up. So i have been doing searches on that number all morning. It says it a landline. Weird!?
just now got a call, hit mute on the tv so i could hear (poor speaker on my cell phone so need quiet), by the time i turned back to the phone, they'd hung up.
which after reading the various web hits the number has gotten, I'm not out much.
If they were after stealing my Identity they'd quickly find they'd have to repair my credit rating first before they could destroy it LOL.
Since Telecommunication is a form of speach and communication, then the only way the CRTC or FCC (or telecommunications regulatory commission of any regional country area) can 'stop' or 'deal with' these calls, is to remove the right to 'free communications' thru, in this case telephone based communications systems, and install 'spyware' boxes or other kind of monitoring device/software that would severely limit and infringe on the rights of individuals to speak and gather as they see fit.
Basically, if your willing to have the government severely monitor your communications (even more than they do already), then by all means :)
Otherwise, just pray to whatever Gods/Goddess you believe in that Karma comes and bites them in their backside! :)
Just got a call on my cell number from them. Wonder whether they dio random dialing for cell batches now or if they got it from the CRTC's DNCL. Looks like a scam judging by these messages.
