Just got a call asking for Dawson Construction - it was a man who had an accent. I answered my phone by saying: this is .....and I gave my first name and then asked if this is (my first name) and said Smith? I said no....and he asked again and said he had the wrong the number. Felt like a scam call. Careful!
"Shane" calling for his boss, I work at DHL, "Shane" thought he was calling DTW Holdings, asking for Larry Nueshotz in our security department. I'm sure when he realized he was calling the wrong company when I could not prodce Larry's phone number. LOL
Same caller, same heavy accent, same scam just a different day. I should say time of the day, since they call throughout the day over and over again. The scams change too I suppose: claiming they are Fedex, UPS, the free white sheet, important medical documents, calling to bother my IT or marketing people, etc.The same callers wasting a large portion of my day using there same script. Makes me want to bang my head into the wall, better yet theirs.
