hey FYI if this is driving you crazy like it is me. Google Efinancial and at the very bottom of their webpage it says contact us. Click on it and send an email to [email protected] and ask them to remove you from their list. Then it will stop.
I am so glad I found this site! And Thank You, Marsha, for posting the company name. We, too, were getting hounded by this number (appeared as "Private" on caller-id). We've got the Tele-Zapper and that wasn't working. We'd pick-up the phone, and no one would be there. *Very* annoying! 3-4+ calls/day!
Here's the scoop that we learned today. Yes, it is EFINANCIAL. DH called their Customer Service Line 800.482.6616 and learned that a company is "exempt" from the Do Not Call Registry if you've "done business with them." And, apparently, the fact that DH went online and requested a Rate Quote for Life Insurance from them (months ago) means that we've "done business." Ugh! (Their rates were very high, BTW).
In any event, he asked them to STOP CALLING. The Rep was very friendly and said she'd remove our number from their database. Fingers are crossed that this actually works (if not, I'll be back and let ya know!)
