425-284-5455 showed as a missed call on my phone. Please do not return calls to unknown callers, people. They retrieve your information off there system as soon as you call. The next message you receive will be a letter in the mail alleging you owe some kind of bogus debt. They are foreign callers that buy or LIE about uncollectable expired debts. These are known as "Zombie Debts". Be wise and be safe.
Also, the one ring scam. Your phone /cell rings one time and moment you call that number back, you are hit with $20 and $9 for every 30 seconds to a minute they keep you are on the phone. How can they do this, you ask? The call shows up on your phone and or cell bill as a 900 number. Last year, thousands of Americans got hit at once or near the same time. It appears from what I read here and on other number searches like they are back. Again, DO NOT return or answer unknown callers. I hope this information prevents others from being victimized. Got phone call from this number. Someone identified himself as "Peter" from Qs company". He has a heavy accent and is muffled when speaking. I asked him to repeat his introduction.. still unclear of his name and company. From what I could gather in the dialog, he is asking for your personal information to obtain a loan. Red flag. Sounds unethical.
In conclusion, I asked him to remove my phone number from his call list as soon as we disconnect.
Caller ID showed Kirkland. Answered the phone and someone with an accent said they were calling about my medical compensation. I said what are you even talking about. They said bad drugs and that type of thing. I asked the caller who he was trying to reach and he said the owner of the phone number. I told him not to call anymore.
