Received VM on 6/29 stating "Final notice from the IRS that we are filing a lawsuit against you" - called # back and was a fast busy signal - filed complaint to the Federal Trade Commission because I know there shouldn't be any lawsuit against me and the IRS uses the postal service for communication.
Got a call today from this number claiming it was the IRS and that they are filing a law suit against me. My taxes are paid in full but it is still alarming to hear a message like this. Glad to know it's a scam.
Received same type of call. Reported it to the Federal Trade Commission. Their number is 877-382-4357 or the can be reached at www.consumer.ftc.gov
Don't fall for thee scams especially when they can't even speak proper English in their message. The Neither the IRS nor any law enforcement agency will call and leave a voice mail. The IRS always uses the US mail to contact you
I just listened to a VM left yesterday afternoon: "This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services (note plural). The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. Call 425-296-0873 for more information about this case."
Voice mail on 24 June 2015 said they were from the IRS and were filing a lawsuit against me. They said to call their number, 425-296-0873, but I did not.
