just got the same call, I won a government grant and that I needed to take this number down, my so called grant ID # JK202 in my case. So I played along took down the number the whole time trying not to laugh, then he gave me his managers number 425-296-7936, and said you need to call right away, in the next 5 seconds, blah, blah, I let him continue to insist I call, and when he got around to, "so can I tell my supervisior to expect your call? " I said sure why not, but I can tell you right now, I am not calling anyone because this is a scam, and I was not born yesterday. So shame on you! Click went the phone.
Same here got a call from them and I asked why I was chosen for this grant of 7500. The said no bankruptcies/criminal records/ and paid taxes on time 2 out of three of those things i have so immediately i knew it was a scam. so after about 5 minutes i said, hey there are a lot of scammers out in the world. Maybe next time you should look up the facts about the people you call before scamming them. He acted all confused and asked what I meant, I told him ive been arrested before "oh well then this could be for a different "my name here" I said yeah with my same address and phone number? he hung up.
Got a call a couple of minutes ago from an unknown number. I am a student so when i was told about a grant i wasnt too suspicious until i had to varify info. If the caller had my DOB right infront of him why would he repeat something wrong three times. He then asked how i would like to receive my money: 1. Government doesn't send grant money through western union, this money is sent to w.e college the person attends/ in the form of a check. 2. Money can't be placed on a credit card as far as I know, thats what a debit card is for. I may be young but I'm not dumb. I'm contemplating whether or not I should call this number they gave me to let them know that I am aware that this is a scam... They need to be stopped!!!
