Thanks for your post! Me. White just left two computer messages on my home phone. I know I didn't commit any crimes so I figured it was bogus. Your post confirmed! Thank you
A man by the name of Oscar White called indicating that he worked for the IRS. He accused me of tax fraud and started quoting tax statutes and he stated that he would place a lien on my house and have me arrested if I did not give him $3000 within 24 hours. What he did not know was that I am an attorney and very capable of searching and reading the statutes that he quoted. This is a SCAM!
Received call from 425-298-9552 alleging to be from the IRS Criminal Division. Stating that I had committed tax fraud and that the local sheriff office was coming to my house in t he next 45 minutes to arrest me. The callers name was Jack Cooper and got very upset whenever I questioned him. What Mr. Cooper didn't know was that my husband had worked as a consultant with the IRS Creative Department for many years and we knew a lot about the law. There is also a Mr. White involved in the scam. If you do get a call from this number report it to your local police as many towns are bring this up with the IRS. It seems the amount they always claim that you owe is around the $3000.00 mark. If you see a call from this number or a 425 area code, Do not answer it.
Recieved a phone call that was an automated message stating that I owed the IRS and was going to be served with papers in 24 hours unless I called back. 3,000 was what they wanted. When i called back they asked me for my name and social security number. That is when I hung up and called my lochal law enforcement.
