Thanks for your post! Me. White just left two computer messages on my home phone. I know I didn't commit any crimes so I figured it was bogus. Your post confirmed! Thank you
This number left a message about "pending law suit." I called the number back. A man with a very heavy accent stated it was the IRS. I questioned "the Internal Revenue Service?" He said "yes are you not hearing me?" I asked again the "IRS in Washington DC"? He again was very rude. He asked my name. I said you called me, you should already have my information. He said he couldn't tell me unless I told him my name. I don't owe anything to the IRS. This is an annoying scam.
Scam. They're now using a computer-synthesized voice for their robo-calls, probably so their Indian accent doesn't give the game (fraud) away too soon. Laughable script says a charge "has been filed on your name", as if anyone with an ounce of legal training would use such language. Oh, and they never mention *what* name. I am advised to call back before they "go with legal matters". Way to make a threat, lawyer-boy! Not.
Interestingly, the call-back number they give is the same as the number the robo-call originated from (according to Caller ID – cough), 425-298-9552. This is a Magic Jack phone number, so they could be calling from anywhere in the world.

"Jack Cooper" called...same as noted above. Left multiple messages threatening IRS tax liens for 2008 to 2012. He got very upset when I suggested that I would be getting my attorney involved. The number he called from was 425-298-9555. Beware!
