I received this same call, same phone number, with no message; and I don't have any debts for collectors to call for so maybe it is a number for some other reason, just to clear the way maybe for phone advertisers to be sure someone is at the number they are dialing or something like that.
Get your name as soon as possible on the federal do not call list. Go to www.donotcall.gov and it's easy to register. I read that November 2012 is the month that a huge number of cell phone numbers are now going to be listed in a national public directory or something like that so make very sure you do this as soon as possible. I listed myself around the first of the month and still get calls. They say there is a one month lag before you will be not called... but I still wonder if those advertising etc. people get around it somehow. Still register with them because I got and advertiser trying to ask me if I have diabetes. That's a private question. I just said; "what company are you from", they just ignored my question and asked the same again and I simply repeated my question. The young lady paused. I said I was on the Federal Do Not Call List. She was quiet, then said they would make note of that. I hope that worked. Hope this note helps you all. Don't feel that just because someone who sounds authoritative asks you any question that you do the same or similar to what I did. I think just telling them don't call or hang up that they will simply call back again.
for this number called saying that I qualify for insurance because I supposedly didn't have any I told them they were wrong and 1 who exactly they were looking for and she said they work with youinsurance or something something I proceeded to ask them what name they were looking for in the collar became very belligerent and proceeded to tell me that she hopes that I have a car wreck and die I didn't call the number back and it said that it was some kind of sweepstakes how on earth do we stop these long phone calls
The "do not call" list is useless !!! I put three phone numbers on that list over a year ago. The phone calls never even slowed down, now they are getting worse. I just got a new cell phone 1 1/2 weeks ago (with a new number) and have already received over 25 calls. I don't answer any call I don't know.
A message to all those who write nonsense and overreact to the call without knowing who it is. I called it and it is a telemarking sweapstakes offer-no big deal.
