Caller called here looking for my ex and his wife, would not tell me where they got MY number from. This is important because the number they called is only 2 yrs old and I've been divorced and unconnected from my ex (who lives nearly 3,000 miles away) for 15 years! I'm looking into what kind of lawsuit I can file against them because no one I know would have this number to give to anyone especially in reference to my ex, including my ex, who doesn't have this number. This is tantamount to stalking, definitely harassment, and must be illegal on some level.
Received a voice message this date from 425-336-2580. The lady was looking for my brother and identifed herself as Shanell and stated she could be reached at: 425-336-2596. When she answered, she immedidately stated, to "hold a minute". I did. She came back on the line after several seconds and said to "hold just a second longer" that she was trying to get the address. Not sure whose address she was trying to get, but she never ask for mine. She never ask for my name either. I told her the name of the person that she left the message about and ask what was going on. She replied: it must be personal. Well, if you can't tell me what it is about, then I CAN NOT help you!!!! I ask her who she was with and she said Kirkland Law Firm. While I was waiting for her to answer, I was putting the phone number into google to see where she was calling from and it was Renton, Washington. It was actually my brother who she was looking for. I ask her for a date of birth to make sure it was my brother. She told me and that is the year he was born. I told her I didn't know him. She said, you must know him if you ask for his year of birth. She said, is there a junior. I said, I don't know of any juniors. She said, it sounds like you haven't had contact with this person in quite sometime. I said, no, I haven't and I really don't have any information. I ask her to remove my number from her paperwork and she agreed to do so. I have no idea how they got my number. I have had an unlisted number for about 20 years now. Next time she calls I'm a good mind to give her his work number and let them call him at work. I pay my debts and never have had a collection agency call me about one of my debts, so I don't need to be harrassed by them on my brothers part. As stated above, I am not sure of the nature of this call, but figure it is a debt collector, but since I'm not sure, I'm marking it as "unknown".
This company called looking for my x-sis in law who has NEVER lived in my state and i have never lived in hers. The only way they could have gotten my number is from my in laws who are mad because I am still freinds with my x-sis in law. My number has been unlisted for years. I called them back to try and find out where they got my number...something is really sketchy about this
A man with a heavy spanish accent asked for this name and would not say what company he represented.
When I called the phone number back the man who answered said his name was Mr Adams and he could not tell me anything more about this company except the name of it which he said was: Kirkland Law Offices, which is some kind of debt collection company.
