It appears this is another one of those asinine "home security" robo calls. We've blocked dozens of those numbers and will be adding this number to the list although it appears that they are either spoofing the number of a printing company in WA or hiding behind a fake company listing.
How stupid do you have to be to think you can get rich selling fake home security systems without an established, verifiable company? I also pity the idiots who are stupid enough to fall for such a scam, who would trust their property to someone who doesn't even clearly identify itself? These slimeballs are probably a front for burglars, able to scope out property in the guise of installing equipment.
I am a retired cop and the scam is they want your private info, especially your credit card or debit numbers. Thats all they want. I told one Id call him back when I decide on a system, and like magic he hung up, wouldnt give me a business number. I knew full well and wanted to have some fun.
In all my years in law enforcement no law is upheld without an agency having enforcement powers, The DO NOT CALL LIST is as useless as breasts on a bull. There is very little enforcement and they need the name, address and number of the offender. Very few are fined. The new trick is they use your local city number so you answer and think its local. When I check the numbers they are from South America , Bahamas, etc. I have over 250 phone numbers blocked and I am on both my states caller list and federal. the freaking scammers even called the Sheriff and told him in order avoid being arrested he had to send them western union money for his unpaid parking tickets and missing his court date. The morons didnt even know it was the Sheriffs number. They can make any phone number appear on the caller ID even though they are in another country or state. I get the slick ones which have phone numbers like 345-111-2222 so you cant block them, thats not the real number. So be alert .
