i believe that the sol is 3 years on a tax form not a business tax form just the 1040 the way this works is that they cant audit you unless fraud was committed and it would be 100 thousand or more dollars the sol will start on april 15th of the 3rd year this is also for a tax return if its over three years you can not get your return so when these fools call and say its for the year of 2008 just laugh at them at one time i played along it was for 8 thousand and they told me to go to three stores walgreen cvs and a radio shack and get 3 thousand dollars on two different cards and 2 thousand on the last card call them back and give them the numbers i started laughing and the yelling and threats started and i kept on laughing then the curses started and he hung up on me never called me back because he now knows it would be a waste of his time and he will not get any money from me
A call from the state legislation stating that I or my attorney needed to contact them as soon as possible when I called them back there was no answer but a bunch of clicking noise
I just received the same call. But, I don't answer calls I don't know. They stated the same thing to me, I need to give them a call back, because it is a serious matter and if they don't hear from me or my attorney, then the only thing they can do is wish me luck.
This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, etc. all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
