Got a call a few minutes ago. Didn't get to the phone on time, so didn't answer. No message was left. This is a new phone number for me and I'm getting a lot of phantom calls, area codes unfamiliar to me. I just registered my number on the Do Not Call registry to avoid these calls in the future.
I have received several calls from this #. They say my factory warranty is about to expire and this is the final notice (it is a recording). I have pushed 1 to be removed from their list at least 3 times and I have pressed 2 to speak to a rep a few times. I asked to be placed on their companies in-house do not call list each time. they will not give any contact info or name the company that is generateing the calls. there is a steep fine for companies that violate the do not call list and I would love to be part of the group responsible for pushing these people into bankruptcy (maybe their spouses will leave them take the kids and dog and hook up with the mail person as an added bonus due to the financial pressure that comes along with a couple hundred thousand dollars in fines). All I can do is hope I guess! P.S. My 11 year old daughter says that due to the low wages that her elementary school is paying her to go to school she can not afford the extended warranty for her razor scooter or heelies so she would like them to stop calling her cell phone as well (just a side note). thanks for reading!!
Called my cell, did not leave a message. When I called back, got a message that the number had been disconnected. No doubt a junk call. Now that cell numbers are going to be published just like land line numbers, people need to get their cell numbers on the "do not call" list.
