According to the non-answer I got when I questioned my US Senator, apparently forever. My solution?
I bought a 'call blocker'. Search with Google, and you'll find one that is suitable to truly handle this constant badgering by phone that the government passes laws to stop, and then does nothing to do so.
I just received a call from this number (425-406-9028) - but was unable to answer my cell phone ... so of course they did not leave a message .... and I am on the Do Not call list ... WTH ????? How can we stop this ????
Just answered call and it was about lowering my interest rate on my VISA, MC, AMEX, etc. credit cards. When I asked what specific account they were calling about they hung up. Scam written all over it.
We could ALL call the --- and keep calling them --- to tie up their phone lines. This would hurt their "business". But who has enough time & dedication to pursue this?
Just called on my cell, but I did not answer. I continue to get calls on both cell and home phone. One on the answering machine said that I could get a credit card with only 2.5% interest. Are people actually believing these callers?
