We don't answer these calls but they keep coming and coming and COMING. I just found this page and obviously, this is some really odd form of scam. Has anyone had the callers give up? PROD is the right name!
Rec'd first call from them today. Got recorded msg informing me "that they were contacting
senior citizens over age 65 all over the country to alert them that Keswick Products was distributing
Medic Alert buttons (I belong to www.MedicAlert.org which is a legitimate organization and doesn't sell
those medical panic buttons, and that I've had for years) and a Free Pharmacy Discount Card free of charge. Press Button #....... to accept the products or button #... to refuse so your provider will know that you
refused the services. Again these products are free of charge to you, paid for by our company."
I renewed my Medic Alert a few months ago, so I know what the membership cost is, and those
Pharmacy Discount Cards offering up to 75% off are indeed free. I've seen them in my Sunday paper
for the past few years and in mail solicitation. Oh yeah, I'm NOT over 65!
Went to website for do not call registry and filled out complaint form
against Keswick Prod. Interested people can go to www.donotcall.gov
Perhaps that will deter Keswick if they see that they're faced with fines.
Do Not Call Registry sends out a list that can be checked by the companies
of people not to call. The list is updated if I remember correctly on a daily basis.
Hope this helps.
