And yet another unwanted call. I get at least 4-5 calls a day, ever since I signed up with Do Not Call. The Caller ID said "Unknown Name." I got it yesterday around 3pm. No message of course.
This morning, I got another one that said "Unknown Caller" with no number shown. No message. Like Washington Resident above, I never answer calls I don't recognize or don't want to talk to (maybe at that moment). Occasionally, Unknown Caller will be a legit one, so I waited for a message on this one. Nothing.
I've gotten calls from so-called carpet cleaning before, but from Nevada. Same thing: "Unknown Name" and no message of any kind.
I don't have digital phone, so I can't use all these fancy things people are talking about, like Google Voice. I guess I have what is an analog phone. It works fine for me, and I don't use the phone much anyway.
Being that I'm long term unemployed, and usually home when these types of calls come in (mornings, lunchtime, dinner time, and around 8-9pm), I pick up and hang up. It's what they are going to do anyway.
I wish I got this many calls from EMPLOYERS hiring.
I rec'd a cal from this number. It is not one I reconize and from Ohio....Clevland. I know absolutely no one from this area...must be solicitor of some kind
We've started getting calls from this number, so I have set my cell phone to reject these calls. Prior calls from Ohio have all been political fund raisers.
The call says, "Hi, I am Diane and we have a special to clean your carpet...." I listened through to ask them to take me off the calling list. The recording asks to press 1 and speak to a scheduler. I pressed one and the call disconnected.
I am so sick of this phone recording from Diane who wants to clean my carpet. Every time I press "1" to "make an appointment" I request that my number be removed, and I am hung up on...
