Just got a second call AGAIN.
Took the call yesterday and pressed 1 spoke with someone and actually went off yelling and cussing at them. They hung up. When they called back today I went along with it until she had to verify my information. I went along with it still until she asked for my phone # I stated you called me. She said that there auto dialer actually called and they did not have my number. I explained my first call and informed her that if she continued calling me ( I am on a do not call list ) I would file charges with the FCC for harassment and not following the Do not call list. She said that she would have to remove my number manually as there auto system is not working correctly. In my opinion this is a scam and we should all band together and file a class action law suit. But to who?
I have been receiving these calls from different numbers, same scam, Alarm System, I just wait to push the #1 and BLAST them with my LOUD air horn. The same goes for the calls to lower your interest rate. SCAMS to get your credit card numbers. They get blasted also. I was using air horns so much, that I bought a refillable one from Walmart, and keep it right by the phone. When I pick up the phone I also pick up my LOUD air horn. When I push #1 and they answer, I empty the whole air horn on them. After all it is FREE refillable. At least I ruin some scam artists day!!!!!! I have also been on the Do NOT Call list since it started.
These people are good. They let you think you are being placed on the 'do-not-call' list when you're in fact acknowledging yours is a working number. When you push the buttons to get to the "representative" the automated voice announces "We're sorry, no one is available to take your call" and *poof* you're disconnected.
In other words, you were led through a maze only to be told how foolish you are.
I'm not sure, but they may have done this to avoid getting my whistle blown in their ears......can't blame 'em.
Yep - that was your first mistake, thinking that anyone in the government actually works! Your second mistake was believing the do not call list actually has any teeth. IMHO, the government created the do not call list just for grins and giggles as I've never seen any results, and the scammers keep calling.
Call from this # 10:35 a.m. 10-4-13 - Didn't answer, no message left. Recently they have been letting call go to answering machine before hanging up. So answering machine beeps, but silence when you check message.
