I save the number and give it the name "Do Not Answer" so when it calls again I know to reject it. Secondly, I have a list of all these robo calls and those violating the do not call list so I can turn them into the FCC with one letter.
Got a call from this number today, came up on caller ID as Eugene OR. I let it go to my answering machine and no message was left. Just another low-life loser who is blocked on my call blocker device now.
Recorded message: "This is Howard with the Loan Department. Your business has been selected to receive a $250,000.00 loan. Press 1 to speak to a loan agent!"
I pressed "1" and got someone with a thick Indian accent. By pumping him, I got him to tell me that the company name is "Business Loan Center" (a lie), and that they are located in California (another lie.) He kept asking me questions, was I the business owner, etc. etc. I pushed him for the company address. He told me he would not reveal that information until I had given him my own information. I asked him if he really expected me to give him my information if he wouldn't tell me anything about his company. His response: "All right. *click*.)
This is obviously a boiler-room scam, stay far away from such things. Report the number to the FCC.
