Number shows up in CallerID as "ALERT". Hung up while answering machine dealt with them, no message left. Saw report on another site that says similar, but the "ALERT" has something else on it to make it look like a government agency (like police or fire).
ID says Alert - a scam claiming to offer seniors a medical alert system.
I've received at least 4 calls from this outfit in past few months, each from a different number beginning 1-458-201-_ _ _ _ . So, I'm trying something new: I blocked only those first 6 digits on my Panasonic phone system. I hope it will block all #s that begin with those 6 digits but I doubt it will work.
