I got a text asking if I do massage work (I don't I do coaching). He said his name was "savage". I didn't bother responding because 1) his name was savage 2) the grammar was way off and I thought it could be a scam.
Text message identified him/herself as Savage wanting to set up massage appointments for family members, Supposedly private bus driver will wait for the clients. Wants to pay by credit card. The way this scam works is that they send you the credit card number and come up with a reason why the driver needs cash, so they urge you to charge the alleged service but add on the extra cash for the driver. Of course the credit card number is no good but by the time the merchant learns that the driver is gone with the money. We get this type of solicitation occasionally from various people. It is fairly common.
I'm a massage therapist (independent) in Wichita Ks. I have received text messages from this number twice, once early in the year wanting me to work on a small company's contraction workers, and today to work on family who are coming to town. Refused to call due to being in hospital from surgery to improve a hearing problem, and now cannot call because of poor service. Just now put them together.
I got this text today: "Hello this is Savage and I would like to know if you do Body Massage Service and do you accept credit card?"
I own my own massage therapy business, and there is no way I would respond to something like this. Savage? Please. Blocked him.
