Love this site - I have an iPhone, and if you jailbreak it (Google if you don't know what that means - you need to do it!), there's a program in Cydia called iBlacklist, which lets you BLOCK callers (you can choose what happens when a certain number calls, such as: Voicemail, Busy Signal, Accept and Hangup, No Action [which does nothing], and Accept), and it also has a White List (which is very useful for parents, since you can setup the phone to only allow calls to and from pre-defined numbers.)
I create blacklists in iBlacklist, and put these numbers in - no unwanted calls EVER ring on my phone (OK, well, sometimes one will pop up that I don't have, which is why I end up here, find out who it is, and add them to the proper blacklist.) Bada bing, they always get a busy signal when they call me. :D
Of course, from now one I'm giving them my Google Voice number, which is WAY better; Google Voice forwards to my "real" number, so it's transparent to the caller, but the BEST feature of Google Voice is that when someone calls, I can go into the settings and BLOCK that person/number - if they call again, they'll get a recording saying "This number is no longer in service." For everyone else, it works fine. Plus, when I answer a Google Voice call, I just press 4, and it RECORDS THE CALL FOR ME.
Google Voice works with *any* phone, not just an iPhone. Check it out - you won't be disappointed. Plus you can pick your phone number (and have it spell what you want, if it's available! Mine spells something dirty. LOL)
Same deal as everyone else....this number which originates in the Dallas, TX area, calls that show up on the ID as "Out of Area" with no number; 626-666-6754 which showed on the ID as California BUT that area code is actually Wisconsin. The answering machine picks-up, the caller disconnects.
Don't owe B of A anything....I'm one of those credit card customers B of A and others card companies love to hate....I don't charge any more in a month than I can pay off, I pay off my bill in full every month and I pay on time despite that B of A is now getting the bills to me so late that there are usually only 7 days or so between the receipt of the bill and when B of A says the payment is due. AND, I don't have B of A by choice....I was an MBNA customer but B of A sucked them up back about a year ago I hate B of A and would never choose to be a customer of B of A.
BTW -- It seems that there are very few credit card companies to choose from now. Looks like a near monopoly in the credit card industry -- What ever happened to the Sherman Anti-Trust Act??? Did Bush and the Republicans get rid of that bit of consumer protection, I wonder????
B of A & others are under investigation --- "Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations chaired by U.S. Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) holds the first of several hearings to examine business practices of the credit card industry, focusing on how credit issuers apply interest rates and other fees.
According to Levin, many credit lenders engage in practices that are "unfair or abusive"--such as charging interest on balances that have already been paid--that are too complex for the average consumer to understand."

!!!! DON'T SIT HERE AND B*TCH...............FIGHT BACK !!!!
REMEMBER, a credit card company makes money both ways on a transaction....they not only charge you obscene, usury interest rates & late charges BUT they also charge the merchant or business a fee for every time someone pays for a product or service by credit card.
HIT B of A & the other credit card companies WHERE IT HURTS......
------ IN THE POCKETBOOK !!!! ------
STOP USING YOUR CREDIT CARD(s)for things that you could just as easily use cash or a check for.
I've been getting calls from this number and a couple others they use for a few days. I have no credit cards and nothing outstanding, so this is definitely either a scam or third-party collections.
Also, this comment posted above:
"I just called BOA and they said that they did try to call me this morning (I only missed one call). So this number is Legit. Now BOA are a bunch crooks, but that is a separate point."
Was left on another site VERBATIM by someone named "Sarah". So obviously the jerks who are doing the calling are also trolling these sites and posting fake comments to make people think they're legit.
