Ugh! I just created a domain for a class using iHost/Plesk and made the mistake of not paying for the privacy right away. On the same day I crated the odmain, i belatedly requested the add-on, but it's taken a while. Since I created the domain I have been inundated with emails and phone calls. Very annoying and frustrating
Yes! Thank you! I just received lots of calls and texts after registering a new domain with GoDaddy. Will change to a number that doesn't go anywhere and will be much happier!!!!
It's not from GoDaddy - when you register a domain your information (name, address, email address, phone number...) are publicly available using WHOIS regardless of the ISP you use to register it, with unless you pay extra to 'hide' it. Every time we register a domain, as the primary contact, I get inundated with phone calls, emails and text messages - some even have domains like GoDaddyDesigns dot com to fool you into thinking it is from GoDaddy
Yes, same here. Registered a new URL with Godaddy and I have been undulated with phone calls and spam emails wanting to build my site. I will build my own site. It just so happened that this phone number 469-206-9301 called me this morning at 6:30 am! They are not to call until after 8:00 am. The creep said his name was Brad, but there seems to be a lot of Brads calling from India.
Caller ID is blank. However, in keeping with all the other posts here, I too just registered a new domain with GoDaddy and have been inundated with emails and calls from hustlers trying to sell you website services. I am guessing this number - which has called twice daily for the past 10 days - is due to that. And it started after I registered the new domain.
