I just had the same number call me. They won't leave me alone, so when he asked me to verify some information, I just said NO to everything. I am sick of these SCAMS.
I had this happen to me several months ago and I talked with the FTC. I filed a complaint and the lady toldy me to tell them, if they called again that they have been reported to the police.
469-208-0077- They threatened me with arrest and said I was guilty of fraud - (which I know that no lawyer would ever say before a case is tried by a judge...) and they said I must pay over $8600. I repeatedly asked for their information- location, names, etc. and they hung up.
This so-called "law office" called me today threatening me with arrest tomorrow for a fictitious loan that they claimed I took out and also for "fraud", if I did not repay over $8600. I know this is a farce because I never done such a thing. I turned the questions back on them and asked what law office they were from and they refused to give me the name and their names. I was hung up on so I called them back and they answered simply "law office"... This is a scammer company harassing several individuals, as I have read several consumer reports online. When I asked them for their info when I called back, they refused to comply with my requests and said I was going to be arrested for fraud. They read back my social sec number. I told them that stealing consumer information is illegal and scamming people and making threats with personal information is a felony. They hung up. I want to press harassment charges and want it known that they have access to my personal information.
This number has called me 8 times today. My concern is that they have my social and bank acct numbers!! So now I'm scared they will steal my money and identity!
