Got a call from this number saying that my comcast internet was not secure and wanted to know why the security was turned off. He wanted me to take a few minutes and fix it with his help. Told him I did not have time. He said I could call him back at the same number when I was ready. I think he callef himself Jerome or something that sounded like it. We no longer have this service. Suspected this to be a scam and found this site. If unsure, call your provider directly, but this definately smells.
Said they were calling from my "internet provided". When I asked him who that was, he said "T-Mobile". I told him T-Mobile was not my internet provided and he said ummm, okay and hung up! His english was horrible and he was obviously from India.
I just got a call from the India person also asking me why my internet service was not working at my home. ASked him what internet service he was calling me about and he said Verizon. told him I did not have Verizon and he said her represented all internet providers. I told him if I was having issues with my internet, I would call my own provider myself and hung up on him. We need to report this guy.
