Got a call from this number saying that my comcast internet was not secure and wanted to know why the security was turned off. He wanted me to take a few minutes and fix it with his help. Told him I did not have time. He said I could call him back at the same number when I was ready. I think he callef himself Jerome or something that sounded like it. We no longer have this service. Suspected this to be a scam and found this site. If unsure, call your provider directly, but this definately smells.

Received a call from this number, foreign speaking guy said he was my ISP and my internet security had been turned off, wanted me to go turn it on. I knew right away that this was a scam. After giving this a foreign guy a lot of choice expletives I hung up.
Same experience as in the other comments. Only new thing, which may have been pure coincidence, was immediately before this jerk called I had a call from 020-566-6002. When I answered that one, the guy said "hum..." and then hung up. I'd just put the phone down when the 469-249-1052 call came. I wonder if the calls were the same guy. Both were "Out of Area" calls.
Just received a call from 469-249-1052 saying my Internet security system was "off" and needed to be reactivated. I knew immediately it was a scam. When I asked him who my provider is, he incorrectly named "Verizon". I then told him I was looking up the number on Google and read the previous comments to him. He then hung up. When I tried to call back to give him a piece of my mind, a recording noted that the subscriber was unavailable.
