If you listen all the way through the pitch (about 30 seconds) you have the option of being placed on their do no call list.
Call on my voice messaging said I'd been selected to receive a free home security system. I know for sure I have never done business with this company before, so they are absolutely violating the law here. But I think all these companies have figured out that the law does nothing to violators. However, I will not call and ask to be placed on their "Do not call" list, as this only tells them that this is an active number. If they don't respect Federal Law or FCC regulations, then they aren't going to respect your request.
Called while I was out. Left a 2 second voice mail with nothing recorded. Number is from Texas. I have been getting several dropped or abandoned calls from Texas. I wonder if this is the new headquarters for another telemarketing wannabe slimelord.
