I bought a Marine Air Horn, and when directed to "press '1' ", I gladly do so , wait until someone comes on then line, I draw them in a little bit, and then blast the air horn, laugh at them, and then I hang up. Very satisfying.
Also, set your answering machine to answer at 6 rings instead of 4 - they NEVER wait past 4 rings.
Consider getting a call blocking device. If it's a cell, you should be able to find a blocking app that thwarts private callers or you probably have the ability to anyway. Landlines, see if you can't block numbers yourself or get the call blocker. Don't want to spend money, it costs nothing to turn off answering machines and letting the phone ring. Sooner or later they get tired of calling numbers that have no kind of answer. Have to be patient, though. Turning off your ringer or disconnecting the phone are maybe last resorts.
I did not pick up the call, since I did not recognize the number. The voice mail said "This is a very limited offer. Press 1 now to connect with [something]. Press 3 to be removed from any future offers. This is a limited time offer." I did not press anything (I think the voice mail was simply the end of the supposed offer), and deleted the voice mail.
Got an automated message telling me because of my outstanding payment history on my credit card, I qualify for an amazing rate. Problem here. I havent used a credit card since 1999. This is a fraud company that is up to no good. The automated message, stated to press one to get the better rate. The 469 is an area code that was first added in the Dallas Texas market when the 214 and 972 codes ran out about 12 years ago. The 469 is listed as a East Dallas county area code. But this could not come from a Texan. This is defiantely a pure evil person whom came from some Democrat controlled state. They should have locked them up long ago. But progressives don't believe in rules and hard time and consequences. Don't answer this call. They are pure evil.
