Answered because it looked like a local number- representative had broken English- which I'm not knocking, but made me suspicious could be overseas, he said he was with national auto warranty service (something like that) and asked for mileage on a car we no longer own- and when I said that (usually reps say "ok I'll take you off the list"), he said ok, can I get the new car information to update records- I asked what company are you with and he repeated my question as if he was trying to get someone to help him answer- then said let me get a supervisor to help you with that information... I'm thinking, you either don't know the name or you don't know how to answer that without giving away too much info. Wasn't going to give him any info, but I wanted to know what company to report. Did sound like a telemarketing company with lots of talking in the background. I know I'm probably writing TMI, but I always use these sites and appreciate any info I can get.
3 times a day the call and are forien. I am so tired of these calls.. They are calling and I am on Do not Call list !! Have been sense day one.. Another way the government is wasting my Tax Money!! ×What the funk know matter how you look at it I'm getting scamed either way..
Scam saying they are from the "Vehicle Department" and are calling about your <insert whatever your year and make is>...as soon as I heard that, I already knew they were about to try and sell me warranty insurance for my car and promptly hung up and blocked the number.
