Caller ID showed TRAVEL REWARDS. No message left. Called back and a recorded message said "Press 9 to be put on the do not call list". That's it, no name of any company or anything to let me know who it was. After a short time it hung up on me automatically. Blocked the call.
4693060594, 09-May-2017. SCAM robocalls saying they represent name hotels like Hilton, Marriott, etc. Offering "free" cruise(s) ...blahblahblah...press 1 to continue, 9 to refuse.
They called my DNC registered landline, as well and hung-up w/ no message. Long time since I got one of these from Texas. These cruise scams usually come from East coast of Virginia. May be a spoofed number? I am sure from what has been posted here (thanks)... that at some point my credit card info. would be required for all of the "hidden charges" such as taxes and port fees that go w/ these "free" cruises. Anyone who watches the news knows what a nightmare some cruises can turn into! Besides, on board ship, you better bring plenty of petty cash for the endless tips required from the staff for every single duty or service that you would expect to be included. Finally, guess where crappy doctors who lose their licences to practice medicine on land end-up? In foreign countries and on board ships. NO THANKS ! If you still want to take a cruise; go to trusted travel agents and solicit competitive bids on your preferred package. Get the details in writing.
