I have gotten repeated calls from this number for the last week telling me that I have to pay restitution and that I have charges against me. Wanting me to pay $758 and telling me that my bill is $1150 plus some charges. You call the number back and you may not get the person who called you and they don't answer with anything but their name. Can we say scam scam scam??!!!!!!!! They say they are in South Carolina. They're out of Texas!
My wife and I got calls today about some debt my mom owes. After reading these i say it BS, and I'm not telling her. They claim to be a local office, but yeah, the phone number is form Texas. Pure BS.
If you had committed check fraud the bank would have notified you, not some scammy debt collector. Judges do not issue warrants to debt collectors, they are issued to duly constituted law enforcement agents on application that the person named has committed a crime. They are only used in criminal matters. Debt collectors have no influence on the criminal justice system and would have nothing to do with check fraud. Judges don't notify debt collectors about anything. This is a total scam mostly likely being run out of Texas by a group of white collar criminals no one has been able to find.
