These people are calling my son's father telling him I am going to be arrested for fraud and they are contacting DHS to have my son removed. Told him it will take 2 months to get me out then next time told him I would do 1yr in prison if he doesn't send $363. They are giving him my ss# my DL#. I called and they threaten me even after I told them I contacted authorities. I know that if I committed a felony I couldn't pay to get out of it. I told him to not engage them and stop answering their calls frankly, I do not want to talk to them or him.
Also go to the local police and see if you can make a complaint for extortion. I've heard a lot of really bad debt collector behavior, but this is beyond anything I've heard yet. Contacting DHS. I wouldn't put up with it, I'd find those characters and physically confront them.
Also I'd go to the local media, if I were you. Maybe they could do a story on it.
I get the same messages left for me. They say my DL and SS# have been flagged for fraudulent activity. They have numerous numbers they in different states. Texas to Wisconsin, same person, same day!
