pretty sure its Conns. they call from several numbers that are almost exactly this one. last two numbers are different.
examples: 469-342-0288 and 469-342-0298. I stopped answering their calls simply because it doesnt matter if you make a payment arrangement or not. they will still call. I figure they can hassle someone else. I will pay them as well as everyone else as soon as possible. if they dont want to wait, they can always come get their $hit.
I got one for you....I misunderstood when I got my laptop with Conns and thought it was like a Rent a Center kind of thing. I had nothing but trouble with the laptop and gave it back to them to fix. While it was being fixed I had major car problems and had to shell out a bunch of money on the car so that I could have a job to pay everything else so I told Conns that I was unable to continue to make the payments and they could keep the computer. This is when I found out that it was not a Rent a Center kind of agreement and that I would be responsible for the balance after discounted it and sold it as remanufactured. I was like whatever, just do what you have to do. THEY STILL HAVE THE LAPTOP AND HAVE FOR ALMOST 6 MONTHS NOW and they still harrase me multiple times a day...including calling my work and not answering the phone (I only discovered this when we moved offices and I had to have work calls forwarded to my cell phone and discovered that all the hang ups we have been having were Conns). I have told them several times what my intentions are so why can't they just do it already and stop calling me.
Calls everyday several times a day with last 4 digits changing. A lookup of the number says it's from Conn's Homeplus. I have never had any business dealings with this company. Calls several times a day from 469-342-0288, 469-342-0251, 469-342-0252, 469-342-0253. They left a message with a call back number, and I called back and left a message they had a wrong number and not to call again. I have now filed an FTC complaint.
I just got a call from them that I did not answer. When I came to this page and learned it was Conn's, I remembered that I had forgotten to make the payment on my wife's laptop that was due yesterday. So I made the payment online and hopefully that will stop the calls. If it doesn't, I'll post again.
(I set the Call Type field to "Event Reminder" because I get the feeling they were calling to remind me about the payment that was due yesterday.)
These guys have an auto dialer, apparently, and it goes crazy the day your payment is due. Most places don't bother their customers on the first if the payment is due on the first.
I will NEVER finance or purchase anything from Conn's again. And if they have me take a customer satisfaction survey, they will get a 0 on the "how likely are you to recommend Conn's to a friend?" question...
