received call early this morning as described above..."... regarding U.S. Treasury criminal action...ignoring this call will lead to legal action ...failure to appear before a federal magistrate or grand jury...."
Have received 2 such calls from this number threatening 'legal action or if call ignored may have to appear in court before a magistrate' while posing as someone from the IRS. Of course, they want to 'help' me. Yeah!! Right! Obviously, a scam. Very foreign accent. I may be 78, but I AM NOT STUPID!
Received this call, they left message saying if I do not return their call I would go in front of a magistrate or a grand jury for IRS collections. I returned the call they told me I owed and obscene amount of money to the IRS and threatened to send a sheriff to my home if I didn't pay it immediately. They were all Indian
Rec'd a call this am stating I was going to a Magistrate Judge - You can tell this is a scam - do not call these people back or waste your time on them.
