I got the same call: unpaid 2010 taxes that I received a letter about (which, of course, I didn't). She stumbled when I asked her if she was as private company or the IRS: she said the U.S. Treasury. When I said to give me some proof, she said the proof was already mailed, and it was a final verbal attempt before a "sheriff" would arrest me between 24 hours and 6 months. When I asked to speak to someone for more proof of their identification, she hung up.
